FOREARM
The lower arm, the complex system of bones and tendons that exist below the elbow, is one of the most used portions of the body. We use our hands for just about everything that we do and living without full hand function can be nearly impossible. Most do not realize that much of the functionality in our hand stems from the delicate system of bones, muscles, tendons and cartilage of our wrists and forearms. If you have pain or limited function of your hand, wrist or forearm, it might be time to ask your physician about seeing Panhandle Ortho & Hand.
When assessing trauma to the hand, wrist, forearm or elbow, Dr. Longhofer will carefully evaluate the situation and make a decision for the most appropriate treatment. Depending on the severity of the trauma, surgery may be necessary to repair and stabilize the injury. In the cases of more mild injuries, nonsurgical treatments may be appropriate.
